This Independence Day, many of us will celebrate by launching multicolored projectiles into the sky to see them explode, char some sweetly tenderized pig meat and remember all the times a powerful eagle saved the day. That’s right, we’ll be playing Angry Birds. Because even though they were created overseas by Rovio, the Birds have a lot in common with the good old USA. They like to travel fast, celebrate holidays and race-car drivers, righteously open a can of whupass on thieves who steal their stuff, and be both noisy and awesome while doing all of the above. To get us into the summer spirit, Rovio recently added “Piglantis” to Angry Birds Seasons 2012 and with it, a whole new obstacle/fun factor: water! The pigs now have floating fortresses, and the birds will have to account for nautical physics and vectors if they wish to truly become waterfowl and knock the porcines in the drink. Marinated carnitas always was one of our favorite Fourth of July barbecue meals.
