FAQ
What is Nerdist News?
Nerdist News sends out a free daily e-mail. For the full scoop, see About Us.
How do I sign up?
It’s the easiest thing you’ll ever do – enter your name and e-mail address here.
How the heck are you guys able to pay the bills when I’m getting all of this awesomeness for free?
Simple. We sell advertising to marketers that want their messages to reach the people who are passionate about the same things we are.
Can I send you my product for possible inclusion?
No problem. Select “Submit a Product” on our contact page for information about how to get your product into our grubby hands, and we’ll gladly check it out.
Some of the stuff you feature is so excellent that I want to re-publish some of it on my website or in my newsletter. Is that cool?
Absolutely. Here are our guidelines for syndicating our content online and off:
- ONLINE: Our site is armed with an array of publishing tools you can use. If you’re interested in syndicating the entire newsletter and/or partnering with us on an ongoing basis, please contact us directly using our contact form.
- OFFLINE: Please contact us directly using our contact form.
I signed up, but I haven’t received my first e-mail. What’s up with that?
Some e-mail programs aren’t yet smart enough to know that our e-mail is NOT spam. Make sure that the address [email protected] is added to your “safe” or “approved” sender list. You can also check our help page for how to ensure e-mail delivery. If that still doesn’t work, send an e-mail to [email protected].
How often do you send out the daily e-newsletter?
Nerdist News sends out an e-newsletter every weekday except certain holidays. We’ll probably end up sending something out on some holidays because we’d much rather do that than be stuck spending time with obnoxious family members.
Spam is one of the worst things on the planet. You guys aren’t the kind of jerks who will ever sell my e-mail address, are you?
Nerdist News abides by a very strict Privacy Policy stating we will never—and by that, we mean NEVER—sell your e-mail address. So while we can occasionally be pretty jerky, we’d never be jerky enough to do anything like that.
What if I need to unsubscribe?
We’re tempted to tell you that you’d need a written note from your doctor stating that you’re no longer fit to get the scoop on all things awesome, but that would be a lie. The truth is that we’ll remove your e-mail address from our mailing list immediately. And while we promise not to stalk you, we will ask one—and only one—question about why you decided to dump us. (It’s because we were always leaving the toilet seat up, isn’t it?)
Where do I go to find old issues of Nerdist News e-mails?
Visit nerdistnews.com for everything we’ve ever done. You can search all of our past e-newsletters or check out the additional stuff in other areas of the website.
How can I advertise with Nerdist News?
