Nerdist to Distribute Film Zero Charisma

A D&D; Movie from Nerdist and Tribeca

This could not be any bigger. Announced moments ago at the Nerdist Industries panel at Comic-Con International in San Diego, Nerdist Industries, together with Tribeca Film, will be co-releasing the South By Southwest hit film Zero Charisma, the directorial debut from Katie Graham and Andrew Matthews. The movie is a Dungeons & Dragons-inspired indie-dramedy which took home the audience award in the Narrative Spotlight category at this year’s SXSW.

Tribeca Film and Nerdist Industries will co-release the film this fall beginning October 8, 2013, on a cornucopia of platforms including cable/telco and satellite video-on-demand platforms, as well as iTunes, Amazon Watch Instantly, VUDU, Playstation, and Google Play, before being released in theaters on October 11, 2013.

“When I saw it, I knew I had to tell as many people as I could about it,” said Nerdist founder Chris Hardwick of the film. “It’s hilarious, touching, beautiful, authentic and an eerily accurate echo of my first D&D group in the 80’s.”

The first time filmmakers were equally excited about the distribution. “Both Tribeca and Nerdist have such credibility with audiences, such cultural acuity and such love of storytelling, we feel very confident trusting them with our first film.”

It’s very exciting news for the future of Nerdist. For more on the story, the Zero Charisma trailer and two clips from the film head over to Nerdist.com.
