NERDSWAG: Rooster Teeth’s RTX 2013!
Enter to win a pair of passes to RTX in Austin, TX.
It all started with a bunch of soldiers debating over whether a vehicle looked more like a warthog or a puma and ten years later Rooster Teeth is one of the internet’s most successful and beloved makers of content and dick jokes. In 2011, they held a community event in Austin, TX, to give fans a chance to check out where the magic happens. Only 200 people were supposed to attend, but 600 bought tickets, a feeling akin to when you first released the Flood in the original Halo.
Like Magikarp evolving into Gyarados, the fan event has grown into RTX – a three-day celebration of the peanut butter of gaming and the chocolate of the internet. Last year’s event included panels, competitions and even featured the very first publicly playable demo of Halo 4. This year looks to be bigger still as Rooster Teeth takes over the Austin Convention Center from July 5th-7th. Although this year’s programming remains under wraps, three-day passes are on sale now for a mere $50. If you think about it, that’s like seeing 2.5 movies, but you get 3 days of memories instead. And just like the movies, RTX 2013 has a trailer.
Because we think RTX is more awesome than a weekend in Blood Gulch (it’s just a box canyon, you guys), we’re giving away five (5) pairs of passes (that means two passes per winner) to attend this year’s event. That means you and the Caboose in your life will get to experience all the e-mazingness on us. Note: This does NOT include airfare to Austin nor hotel accommodations, but that’s why we’re giving you a month to put in a call to Blue Team HQ and requisition an evac. Simply enter our contest before midnight on June 6th, then zap on over to our Facebook, Twitter and Google+ pages to get extra entries. Go to RTX and help keep Austin even weirder (and nerdier) than it already is.
