Beta’d: Orgrimmar Slam

Plus, the race to Nexus and the Indoor Kids talk Rampage.

Orgrimmar You Doing? – It’s been too long since the Horde and Alliance had something really meaty to fight over, but that’s exactly what’ll happen now that World of Warcraft Patch 5.4 (a.k.a. “Siege of Orgrimmar”) has dropped. It’s the last major release in the Mists of Pandaria, meaning this might be your last chance to spend time amid the anthropomorphic raccoon-relatives. Check out our coverage of the update, plus the awesome trailer, on Nerdist.com.

Born to Be Wild – And speaking of MMORPGs, one of the standout games at PAX Prime this year was WildStar, a futuristic space race to obtain control of the planet Nexus, an idyllic and mystical world that also contains the lost technology of an ancient civilization. The two factions vying for the planet are the the Exiles and the Dominion. Which side will you choose? Find out more about the game’s different species and characters, and check out the Beta version of the game to see if you too can control Nexus.

Talking to the Game Master – Loads of people play video games, but not everyone can say they created them. One such creator is Brian Colin, who was behind a number of old-school console and arcade titles like Rampage and General Chaos. Who better to have a lengthy chat with this luminary in 8- and 16-bit arts than The Indoor Kids? Kumail and Emily ask the tough questions, like how to choose the right colors, and Brian Colin answers.
