Kotobukiya to unveil all-new Wolverine statue at Anaheim Comic Con
Wolverine is well known throughout comicdom as “the best
there is at what he does,” and if this all-new statue from the folks over at
Kotobukiya is any indication, what he does is look like 50 pounds of
awesome-sauce!
If you’re one of the thousands who will be heading out to
this weekend’s Anaheim Comic Con at the Anaheim Convention Center, be sure to
swing by the Kotobukiya booth to catch a first look at the Wolverine Fine Art Statue; the latest
addition to Kotobukiya’s X-Men Danger
Room Sessions Collection.
While this
nine-inch-tall statue—based on the ultra-dynamic art of Jim Lee, and
sculpted by master craftsman Erick Sosa—is in itself a bona fide work of
art, the piece also boasts some pretty nifty bells and whistles. Among them is a
unique Danger Room holographic environment with translucent parts that glow,
a built-in LED light in the base and two interchangeable heads (one with Wolvie’s
uniform cowl on and one where that trademarked hairstyle is flying free).
The Wolverine Fine
Art Statue hits stores this October. That gives you plenty of time to clear out a spot for it on your bookshelf. Or to build a new bookshelf.
